Privacy, in plain terms

Relay Tangle is an eight-puzzle game from RTG Game Labs, a brand of RTG Product Labs. You can play without an account or optional analytics.

This browser saves the names of finished puzzles and your most recent board. Unfinished moves are not saved. Use “Progress & privacy” in the game to reset these marks. A shared link contains only a fixed puzzle name. The old relay.rtgproductlabs.com address remains playable. Progress and measurement choices stay separate at each address; moving to relay.rtggamelabs.com does not transfer either. You can return to the old address to keep your existing marks.

Measurement is your choice

Measurement starts only after you allow it. PostHog, our analytics provider in the United States, receives a random browser ID, session ID, fixed board names and a few milestones: starting, finishing, restarting and choosing another puzzle. Beat and attempt counts are grouped into ranges. We use later play by the same consented browser to understand returns.

Only fixed campaign labels for the RTG portfolio, Game Labs home, GitHub playtest link or Rando listing are included when present. We do not send arbitrary link parameters, browsing history, referrer paths, move sequences, typed text or key presses. There is no replay, advertising SDK or automatic click recording. The browser ID cannot connect your activity across devices or between the old and new game addresses. Event URLs use the fixed canonical game address, without link parameters.

Network providers necessarily receive connection information such as an IP address to serve a request. We disable analytics geolocation and replace the event IP field; this is not a promise that hosting or provider security logs contain no connection information.

Change your choice

Open “Progress & privacy” and choose “Turn stats off” to stop new events and clear this browser’s measurement ID and attribution. Previously delivered events are not removed by this action. Allowing measurement again creates a new ID. Clearing browser data also clears your stored preference, ID and puzzle marks. If storage is blocked, your choice lasts only for the current page.

The separate downloadable game package contains no analytics. Embedded play on this owned site also has measurement disabled. Counts from those versions are not part of owned-site analytics.
